Ceramic window tint

Why choose ceramic window tint in Brooklyn Park?

Ceramic film is about heat. It keeps the cabin cooler without needing a dark shade.

The coolest cabin

Union Ceramic IR blocks 87% of the infrared heat that warms the seats and the steering wheel.

Cool in a light shade

Even a 50% or 70% shade keeps the heat out, so you can stay well inside Minnesota’s limits.

Phone and GPS work

There’s no metal in it, so your phone, GPS and key fob work as normal.

Blocks UV

99.99% of UV is stopped, which protects your skin and your car’s interior.

How it works

What is ceramic window tint?

Union Ceramic IR is a carbon film with a ceramic layer on top. The ceramic layer is made to stop infrared — the part of sunlight you feel as heat — while still letting you see clearly through the glass.

Because the heat control comes from the ceramic and not from the darkness, the shade and the heat are two separate choices. You can pick a light, legal shade and still get the most heat control Union film offers.

Who it’s for

  • Cars that get hot parked at work or at home
  • Long commutes and road trips
  • Electric cars, where cooling uses battery
  • Cars with big rear glass or a glass roof

What decides the price

Ceramic film costs more than carbon because of the ceramic layer. The rest depends on your car.

If heat is what bothers you, yes. Union Ceramic IR blocks 87% of the infrared heat, compared with 75% for Carbon IR, and it does it even in a light shade.

Not by itself. With ceramic film the heat control comes from the ceramic layer, so a light shade still keeps most of the heat out.

No. Union Ceramic IR has no metal in it, so phones, GPS, radio and key fobs work as normal.

On a car the side and rear windows must let through at least 50% of the light. On SUVs, vans and pickups the windows behind the driver can be any shade.

Yes — the same lifetime film warranty: covered against cracking, bubbling, delamination and fading for as long as the film lasts.
